There’s something really special about events that bring together food, culture, music, cars, shopping, and community all in one place, and that’s exactly what made Dream Asia Festival such a standout weekend in Gwinnett County. We had the chance to attend this year’s festival at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville and honestly, it felt like there was something exciting happening around every corner.
From the second we walked in, the energy was incredible. Families, friend groups, foodies, and car enthusiasts were all exploring together while vendors from across different Asian cultures showcased food, drinks, art, handmade goods, performances, and interactive experiences. It really felt like a celebration of culture and community all wrapped into one giant festival weekend.
A Foodie’s Dream Come True
If you know me, you already know the food vendors were my favorite part. Dream Asia Festival brought together more than 80 vendors featuring dishes and flavors inspired by countries all across Asia. Everywhere we turned there was something new to try, from sweet treats and street food to savory comfort dishes and refreshing drinks.
One of the best parts of events like this is getting to discover small businesses and vendors you may have never found otherwise. It felt like every booth had something unique and exciting to offer. Whether you’re the type of foodie who loves trying trending bites or someone who sticks to favorites, there truly was something for everyone.
The Car Show Was Packed
Another huge highlight of the festival was the car show. The lineup was packed with customized builds, vibrant colors, detailed interiors, and some seriously impressive vehicles. Even if you aren’t a huge car person, it was hard not to stop and admire the creativity and craftsmanship behind so many of the builds on display.
The car section brought such a fun energy to the event and added another layer that made Dream Asia Festival feel different from your typical food festival.
Shopping Small Businesses & Vendors
I also loved getting to walk through the vendor areas and support so many small businesses. There were booths selling everything from clothing and accessories to collectibles, art, handmade items, snacks, and specialty products. It felt like every aisle had another hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
Events like this are such a great reminder of how many talented creators and entrepreneurs are right here in our community.
Family Friendly Fun in Lawrenceville
One thing I really appreciated about Dream Asia Festival was how family friendly it was. There were activities, entertainment, performances, and interactive experiences happening throughout the festival grounds all weekend long. You could tell people of all ages were having an amazing time.
It’s also the kind of event where you can easily spend several hours exploring without getting bored. Between the food, entertainment, shopping, and car show, there was constantly something new to see.
