To preface this, Zach and I absolutely love meal prep boxes. They make our lives so much easier by avoiding the grocery store and doing the planning for us. There is less food waste, you get to try new recipes, and even explore ingredients you wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to try. We have tried most of the ones out there and try new ones that we find a good deal for. From Hello Fresh to Green Chef and everything in between, these have become a standard for us.
We got a first box promo code for Gobble and decided to try it out. With the code the box is $36, which is a great deal for 3 dinners and much cheaper than the grocery store. Unfortunately, without the discount, the boxes are closer to $100 including shipping which we are not willing to pay. If the boxes were closer to $60-$80, we would have them consistently week to week. Overall this was the only con for Gobble!
We got to try the Sautéed Salmon with Shaved Brussel Sprouts & Herb Butter Pan Sauce, Pan-Roasted Chicken Breast with Polenta Cake and Broccoli, and the Thai Shrimp Rice Noodle Stir-Fry with Fried Shallots & Peanuts. All three meals were so delicious and my favorite was the Thai Noodles. Compared to other boxes, Gobble is so much less stress and some of the items are already prepped for you. Each of the meals take at most 20 minutes but they are so complex and packed with flavor. The selection of meal choices feature flavors from ethnicities from all over and are customizable with meat and veggie choices.
Overall, Gobble has been our favorite meal box we have tried, we just wish it was more affordable with our budget. The meals were delicious and so easy to make. We loved we were able to select the meats that we wanted and could ensure that we didn't have the same thing twice. You can click here to get their welcome offer of a $36 box and a free gift!
