Secondhand & Sips: Oakwood, GA

Secondhand & Sips: Oakwood, GA

If you're anything like me, grabbing an iced coffee and wandering around a thrift store is basically the perfect afternoon. There's just something about having a little treat in hand while hunting for secondhand treasures that makes the whole experience ten times better.

So naturally, I decided to turn two of my favorite activities into a series!

Welcome to Secondhand & Sips, where I'm taking you along to some of my favorite thrift stores, antique shops, and coffee spots around North Georgia and Metro Atlanta. Whether you're looking for a new weekend activity, love a good bargain, or just need another excuse to get an iced latte, I've got you covered.

For this adventure, we're heading to Oakwood, Georgia, for a little caffeine and secondhand shopping at Bungalow Coffee House and Goodwill.

First Stop: Bungalow Coffee House in Oakwood, GA

I don't know how it took me so long to make Bungalow Coffee House a regular stop, especially considering how often I pass by it, but I think I've officially found my new go-to coffee spot.

And the drink that sealed the deal? Their Bobbing for Apples Latte from the fall menu.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this latte was absolutely incredible.

I love finding coffee shops that get creative with their seasonal menus, especially during the fall when everything seems to revolve around pumpkin spice. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pumpkin latte, but sometimes I want something a little different.

The Bobbing for Apples Latte was exactly the kind of seasonal treat I was looking for.

If you're exploring coffee shops around Oakwood or Gainesville, Bungalow Coffee House deserves a spot on your list. Especially if, like me, you always find yourself needing a little iced coffee pick-me-up while running errands.

And considering how often I'm in the area, I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot more of this spot from me.

Next Stop: Thrift Shopping at Goodwill in Oakwood, GA

Caffeine secured. Time to see what kind of treasures we can find.

Our next stop was Goodwill in Oakwood, Georgia, and let me tell you, I found so many goodies!

One of my favorite things about thrift shopping is that you genuinely never know what you're going to find. Sometimes you walk in with something specific in mind, and other times you leave with something you didn't even know you needed.

That's half the fun.

I love taking my time, browsing the racks, checking out the home goods, and seeing what catches my eye. There's something so satisfying about finding a great piece secondhand instead of paying full price for something brand new.

Plus, thrifting is such an easy way to spend an afternoon without feeling like you have to plan some elaborate outing.

Whether you're searching for clothes, home decor, or just hoping to stumble across something unexpected, Goodwill is always worth a little treasure hunt.

And personally? That's my kind of day.
